The room was clean (fresh bedding, towels etc), and the beds were comfortable. A lot of the reviews seem to be comparing it to the four seasons; The Sea Shell Hotel offers good value, for basic accomodation in a good location. It is more of a hostel than a hotel for a romantic getaway, and priced accordingly.
Cannot believe our luck. For a last minute break for my partner and our three year old we found here. Nice big room, bathroom and beach a 5 min walk away. The guy that welcomed us was very nice and friendly and told us all we needed to know. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.
What We Liked (3 guests): The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was reasonably clean and in a great location. It was very convenient to have a reasonably priced 24-hour parking permit available. Areas for Improvement: Our stay was unfortunately disturbed by some very noisy guests who were shouting to each other across floors at around midnight. The noise was so loud and prolonged that we had to ask them to be more considerate. They stopped after about three minutes, but it had already disrupted our night’s rest. There was no receptionist on duty to report the matter to. Smoke from staff and guests smoking near our window entered our room regularly, which was particularly concerning as we had a four-year-old child with us.
Alright hotel, nothing too fancy but its cheap so you cant really expect a 5star service, staff was helpful. The walls are thin tho , we stayed on the first floor and we heard a person arguing with the receptionist. Overall it was a pleasant stay, the tv kept us entertained ,had services and stuff. Food delivery is nearby too. Definately good for long stays without bankrupting yourself.
Some confusion with the check in process as it stated there wasn't a reception in the information online. However on arrival, I was welcomed by a very friendly gentleman. The room was alright for the price however only one socket worked so I couldn't watch television and charge my phone at the same time. Also, strangely only a foot towel was provided but this wasn't an issue as I brought my own. Loved the toiletries packs they provided with some handy bits I have not seen in hotels before. I received 2 phone calls during and after my stay to make sure everything was alright with my stay which I thought was a really nice touch. I would definitely stay here again.
I had a lovely stay at Sea Shell Hotel! From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The staff were genuinely friendly and made me feel at home. My room was spotless and had a beautiful sea breeze in the morning — such a peaceful way to start the day. The hotel is in a great spot, just a short walk from the beach and restaurants. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
Don't understand the lower reviews stayed five nights nice double bed booked single, large bathroom with bath combined shower Friendly welcome Price excellent was much better than idof assumed based on price Room I had was clean I only get away from my area this one time a year ref my disability issues and anxiety etc So this was great for me Yes noisy above I thought a herd of elephants were staying but you can't help that Stairs no lift so hard a bit with my walker everyday, so that's a down but not much
5 stars for location close to the beach. 5 stars for service, gentlemen in the reception was very friendly and helpful. Many thanks to him. 4 stars for the room because would need to be repainted, wall next to the bed was a bit dirty also the carpet would need to steam cleaned. Overall it was very nice stay and once again many thanks to the receptionist.
